The company was founded in 1997 by Pat and Sherrie Hake with a desire to offer quality personalized service giving customers that worry free feeling about their communication system. As of early 2005 Comtel had only offered business telephone solutions. Many of the customers asked about computers systems as well so Comtel expanded and added a solution to fufill the office computer needs of their customers.
